Organic
At Dairyland Cuisine, our award winning organic milk comes from “An Grianan” in Burt, Co. Donegal. We believe that good things come naturally. That's why you won't find any artificial pesticides or fertilisers on our organic farm. You see, whether you walk around on two legs or four, we want to give you the best in your daily diet. That means non_GM feed, and naturally grown grass rich in essential vitamins and minerals.
The farm “ An Grianan” was created from reclaimed coastal waters and as a result the soil is rich in essential nutrients and minerals like vitamins A & E and omega 3, not to mention a healthy harvest of natural antioxidants. All these vitamins and minerals must be like seasoning on the pastures as our happy herds just can't stop eating the stuff!
fertilisers on our organic farm.
An Grianan is run by Ian and Emma who look after the herd and treat them as one of the family, sure they have given them all names! We spent some time up on the farm and it was an amazing experience to see all the hard work that goes into our milk.
At 'An Grianan' they’re particularly proud of the surrounding wildlife reserve. Plants and wildlife help maintain the natural soil balance without the need to use artificial pesticides and fertilisers. In fact you could say that the wild roaming animals are the real farmers.
An Grianan
'An Grianan' in Donegal is Ireland's largest organic farm. We can't compete with nature so we don't add anything to our soils.
Our pastures are completely free from artificial pesticides and fertilisers and our cows are free to chow down on wild grass, rather than GM feed.
